Daughter for Hire is proud to announce that we have crossed another milestone in the history of our company. This December our company is celebrating 10 years of helping thousands of seniors remain safely and independently in their own homes.
What began as a small company with just the founder as the only one care companion has grown to over 65 care companions assisting hundreds of clients and serving 7 counties throughout the Mohawk Valley and the Capital District. Daughter for Hire’s mission is, and always has been, to help seniors with daily tasks that allow them to remain in their homes. Living safely and independently as they age.
As a companion care service provider, we have helped our clients with activities that make it possible for them to remain in their own homes. We assist them with services such as driving them to medical appointments, taking them grocery shopping, or running errands. We help with meal preparation, assistance around their homes such as laundry, and light housekeeping as well as provide medication reminders to ensure they are taking their medications as prescribed by their doctor.
In addition to the services we provide, one of the most important things that we provide to a senior is socialization and companionship. Whether it’s a trip out for ice cream or a meal, decorating for the holidays, baking cookies, going to a craft show, farmer’s market, or other social interests, our care companions truly enjoy what they do to assist our clients. They go above and beyond each and every day to ensure that our clients are happy and safe and that their families enjoy the peace of mind of knowing that their loved one is being well cared for in their absence.
We pride ourselves on being the premier senior companion care company in both the Mohawk Valley and the Capital District. Our clients and their families know that they can rely on us to be there to support them as they need us. Communication is our calling card. Our office communicates with our clients and their families regularly to keep them up to date on their loved ones’ care which is especially helpful if the family is out of the area or not able to see their loved one as often as they might like.

It is their enthusiasm, support, and dedication that have brought us to the ten-year mark. Our care companions are special people. They demonstrate their passion and compassion for our clients and their families every day. They truly understand how important it is for them to be a reliable care companion for both their client’s well-being and the family’s peace of mind. Couple that with an outstanding Administrative Team that works every day to make sure that we can help any senior who needs our services.
Because of our pride and dedication, the clients we serve are safer at home. They are healthier because they are regularly taking their medication, eating well, and are connected with the world outside of their door. Most importantly is that they are happier because they have a person that they view as a friend visiting on a regular basis.
We are also grateful to our client’s families for letting us assist them with the care of their loved ones and helping to keep them in their homes. We understand how difficult it may be to ask for help and their trust in our ability to assist them with their loved one’s care is not lost on us. Their need to find solutions to help their loved ones remain at home has pushed us to continuously find new and better ways to help them take care of their loved ones. Our success story remains incomplete without the support of our clients and customers. Not only have they made us a part of their lives but also helped us reach out to the communities that we serve. They share their experiences with others and have helped us spread the word throughout the Mohawk Valley and the Capital District.
