Daughter for Hire Celebrates 10 Years of Serving Local Seniors and Their Families

Daughter for Hire is proud to announce that they have reached another milestone in the history of their company. This December, Daughter for Hire is celebrating 10 years of helping thousands of seniors safely remain independent and living in their own homes. They will mark the occasion on Wednesday December 7th at 11:00am at their Clinton office and headquarters. The public is invited to attend and a reception will follow.

What began as a small company with the founder as the only care companion, has grown to over 65 care companions, assisting hundreds of clients and serving 7 counties from the Mohawk Valley to the Capital District.

Daughter for Hire’s mission is, and always has been, to help seniors with daily tasks that allow them to remain in their homes, living safely and independently as they age in place.

As a companion care service provider, Daughter for Hire helps their clients with activities that make it possible for them to remain in their own homes. They assist with services such as driving them to medical appointments, taking them grocery shopping, and running errands. Care companions help with meal preparation and with assistance around their homes with laundry, and light housekeeping. They also provide regular reminders to ensure clients are taking their medications.

One of the most important services that caregivers provide is socialization and companionship. Whether it’s a trip for ice cream or a meal out; decorating for the holidays or baking cookies; going to a craft show or a farmer’s market; Daughter for Hire caregivers truly enjoy what they do to assist their clients. They go above and beyond each and every day to ensure that their clients are happy and safe and that their families enjoy the peace of mind knowing that their loved one is being well cared for in their absence.

Daughter for Hire prides themselves on being the premier senior companion care company in both the Mohawk Valley and the Capital District. Their clients and their clients’ families know they can rely on Daughter for Hire to be there for support whenever it is needed.

Communication is their calling-card. The Daughter for Hire office staff communicates with clients and their families regularly to keep them up-to-date on their loved ones’ care. This is especially helpful if the family lives outside the area or are not able to see their loved one as often as they would like.

Daughter for Hire would not be what it is today without the support of their exceptional team of care companions and staff members. Every one of their employees play a very important role in the development of their company. It is their enthusiasm, support, and dedication that has carried Daughter for Hire to their tenth anniversary.

Daughter for Hire caregivers are special people. They demonstrate their passion and compassion for their clients and their families every day. They truly understand how important it is to be a reliable care companion for both their clients’ well-being and for the client-family’s peace of mind.

Daughter for Hire’s administrative team is very dedicated. Supporting care companions in the field, they go the extra mile to ensure that each client has the specific care that is needed to ensure an exceptional quality of life.

Thanks to Daughter for Hire, thousands of clients are living safer at home. They are healthier because they are taking their medication regularly, eating well, and are connected with the world outside their door. Most importantly, their clients are living happier lives because they have a person that they view as a friend visiting them on a regular basis.

Daughter for Hire Co-owner, Denise Flihan remarks, “We are grateful to our clients’ families for letting us assist them with the care of their loved ones, helping them remain in their homes and age in place. We understand how difficult it can be to ask for help and trust someone with the care of a family member. Their desire to help their loved ones age in place has pushed us to continuously find new and better ways to support them.”

Daughter for Hire Co-owner and Founder, Kathleen Rutishauser continues, “Our success story remains incomplete without the support of our clients. Not only have they made us a part of their lives but also, they’ve helped us reach more people in the communities we serve. They share their experience with our company and have helped us expand our mission throughout the Mohawk Valley and the Capital District. Thank you for ten great years serving the seniors in our community. We look forward to the next ten years…and eventually, helping the next generation of seniors to age gracefully and independently.”
